Star, Tommy's equally adventurous sister, also shares that practical Virgo spirit! She was born for excitement and is always up for exploring her surroundings, especially the hidden space under the sofa, where she loves to nap like a secret little spy.

Star is the resident huntress, and no insect stands a chance when she's around! She has a playful, quirky side, too. Confident and curious, Star brings joy to every room she's in and is ready to add a sparkle to her forever home! Star and Tommy are each other's best friends, and adopting them together means twice the joy and a lifetime of companionship and fun!

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
