Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Sissy & Fifi! If you appreciate this breed, you will definitely want to consider this adorable twosome! These girls are full of personality and charm! They are looking for a happily-ever-after home willing to welcome them both as these two go together like peas and carrots! Don`t be fooled though, they also LOVE their humans as well. We feel they would do best in a home without kids, or kids 10+. They currently share their foster home with big and little dogs, as well as cats. They have zero issues sharing space with other animals, though they can be a little nervous around bigger dogs, particularly when they are first introduced. Once they feel safe, they are pretty much indifferent.
Though they are bonded, they do appreciate some breaks from one another, as one may wander off to burrow under pillows and blankets in the next room for a nap. They adore car rides, and seem to know what`s up when going through the Tim`s drive through! These dogs have never met any kind of human food they weren`t down to try, and you might have to keep an eye on them, as they are quick to try to steal and run with food left within their reach. Both girls are pee pad trained as well as leash trained, though Sissy may tire after her pee and ask to be carried the rest of the way.
These girls do appreciate having access to their own crates to come and go as they please, and when left alone, Foster Mama lets them free roam in a contained room with their crates open, and often finds they will put themselves in their respective crates for a nap. FM does not recommend crating them together unless the door is fully open. They do prefer to be with their people as much as possible, so their ideal family would be work-from-home, or just homebodies where they would not find themselves left on their own for extended periods of time.
These two cuddlers can show some mild resource guarding of their people, but give clear signs when they don`t want to share, and it has been easily managed. They are very food motivated, but not particularly interested in toys. They can be mischievous, but are true couch potatoes most of the time.
Though the Chinese Crested is considered a hypoallergenic breed, their sparse coats will still require regular grooming.
