My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Richie

This silly youngster coming in at a little over 2 years old and 55 pounds and is full of life! He loves everyone he meets (except for cats, he is not a friend of the kitty committee) and has such a loving soul. He's ready for any adventure you go on, or just to be by your side resting on the couch watching a movie, with his favorite toy. He had an injury sometime in his short life of a broken pelvic bone and a knee joint issue. He has seen a vet who confirmed this is an old injury that has healed, and he has been doing fine on it. He would not be a good candidate for someone who wants to take him on runs or hikes. He would do just fine with daily walks and outdoor play. He needs more of a low-key environment. Keeping him on a glucosamine supplement will keep him going just fine to live a long happy life.
He is available to you via ground transportation.

Additional adoption info

We require a virtual home visit via facetime because we are a Texas-based rescue. We transport our dogs to Colorado once the adopter has been approved. Atascosa Animal Allies works very hard to match the right dog with the correct adopter and make sure that both animal and human are living their best lives!
We are a small rescue in south Texas working hard to end overpopulation and the subsequent abandonment of unwanted cats and dogs. Please feel free to ask us for references!
