My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Tula arrived at our shelter from the city pound on Dec. 1st when her hold time was finished and no one had claimed her. She's a large and robust black lab mix who is as happy and affectionate as she is big. We think she's around 2 years old. We'll need to get he vet checked and spayed soon and her fee is $150.

Tula loves people and will definitely need some basic obedience training and good exercise. She looks like a black lab mixed with some type of larger breed like Great Dane or maybe mastiff. What she might lack in training she makes up for with her happy and loving personality. We think she would do okay with a larger male dog. Cats? We have no way of knowing. Kids over 5 would be best as she's a big gal.

NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
