Meet sweet Charlotte! She is an 8 year old blue Dane girl who is starting to whiten up a bit. She has a sweet & gentle old soul. She came into rescue when her previous owner came on hard times & had to give her to the rescue. She went into a foster home & has been great with dogs of all sizes & even cats. She still loves to play with the other dogs but mostly loves to just supervise from the porch. She is house broken but does have an occasional unexpected one drop out due to her age. She is great on a leash & in the car. She does have some old age back spondylosis but is controlled with the occasional pain medication when she over does it or on cold days. Charlotte’s foster home is located in Swannanoa North Carolina & she survived a mudslide to the back of her foster home, picture included of her where the mudslide was removed.

Charlotte deserves a forever home where she can keep your couch warm & be spoiled in her golden years. Please adopt this amazingly sweet old lady!

*****Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love covers NC and surrounding states for adoptions. We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs - no invisible fencing), that stairs in the home be covered with some sort of slip resistant material to prevent injury, that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family. Additional adoption info

Consists of an application, vet check, personal reference check, phone interview, and home visit. Adopters are required to sign a contract that we can check on animal at anytime, that the animal has to be returned to us if they can no longer keep them, and they must live indoors as a family member. All pets in the home must be up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm preventative and must be spayed/neutered. Fence is required but exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis.

Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love was started by a group of volunteers dedicated to saving Danes and other dogs, especially dogs that may be passed up by other rescues due to special needs. We are an extension of Ruff Love Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Thomasville, NC.

Great Dane Friends helps people to:
* Determine the right breed for their lifestyle.
* Find healthy, compatible dogs who fit their wants and needs.
* Find new homes for dogs whose families can no longer keep them.
* Provide all necessary medical care to return the Dane to good health.
