To adopt: 1. Come to MADACC during adoption hours and meet the dog(s) you are interested in.

2.

Meet the Pet

2. If it is a match, the adoption is complete that day. Not all dogs are spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. They will be scheduled.

3.

Take the Pet Home

After the pet is altered you pick up.

To adopt:
1. Come to MADACC during adoption hours and meet the dog(s) you are interested in. You will be asked to fill out an "Adopter Profile" upon arrival. This will assist in finding the best match for your family.
2. If it is a match, the adoption is complete that day.
Not all dogs are spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. They will be scheduled as quickly as possible. Dogs can not go until altered. No holds can be placed.
3. All animals that will reside in Milwaukee County and are 4 months of age or older are required by law to have a current license - this will be an additional $12 added to the listed adoption fee. Adoption fees are $75-$450 for dogs and $25-$125 for cats.

More about this shelter

MADACC currently rescues and assures safe, temporary shelter, veterinary and humane care for nearly 10,000 stray, unwanted, abandoned, mistreated and injured animals each year; more than any other animal control shelter in Wisconsin. MADACC provides a central location for owners to find and recover their lost pets at 3839 W. Burnham St. in West Milwaukee and is open seven days a week, including evening hours on weekdays. MADACC rescues strays and removes dangerous animals from public areas providing effective animal control services by active enforcement of Wisconsin State Statues pertaining to animal welfare.
