My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm shortcake
I am a little thang, short and sweet .... it's all in the name. I can be a super spunky girl when playing with friends, or I can be super calm when it's time to Netflix and chill. I love to snuggle up with my humans and even more with my kitty friends. Honestly... I secretly think I am their mama. I am fantastic with children, older kids, dogs and obviously... cats. I am an all-around cool girl and super cute. Don't be intimidated by my look.... I swear I have a heart of gold and not a mean streak in me. When it's time for my foster mom to go to work... I go out, do my business and run in straight to my kennel. I know the rules, and I stick to them. They say I am super smart. I would be a great girl for adventures or just hanging around the house.

I am fully vetted, microchipped and ready to go for adoption. I can be sent to you via ground transportation as well. I promise, I will not disappoint you.

Additional adoption info

We require a virtual home visit via facetime because we are a Texas-based rescue. We transport our dogs to Colorado once the adopter has been approved. Atascosa Animal Allies works very hard to match the right dog with the correct adopter and make sure that both animal and human are living their best lives!
We are a small rescue in south Texas working hard to end overpopulation and the subsequent abandonment of unwanted cats and dogs. Please feel free to ask us for references!
