My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
"Catch me if you can" is Clementine's moto! This pretty damsel arrived one month ago at the Manhattan Care Center and remained in hiding until she was brought to the adoption quarters. She still prefers to hang out in her cubby but ventures now here and there in her roomy condo. Clementine is a real cookie monster and pops out of her bedroom to lick delectables and snack on treats. I only recently discovered that she is polydactyl which is really cute. Clementine is curious but skittish and very hesitant to be touched by the naked hand. Having met her from her first day at the shelter and seeing her progress, I know she can and will do better, preferably in a home sweet home and with the love of a new and experienced owner. Very little is known about Clementine's past life and she should start her new life as a shy kitty who needs an understanding owner. Come and meet her very soon at the Manhattan Care Center!

Clementine tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
