Meet Poppy!

Poppy is a sweet and soulful 2-3year-old pup who's just starting to embrace all that life has to offer. She dreams of finding her forever home where she can truly live the "golden life. I did have some kind of injury when I was found and suffered a skull fracture when found.

Poppy is a people lover at heart and thrives on human connection. Whether it's lounging on a comfy dog bed, snuggling up on the couch, or relaxing on a bed, she's all about cozy moments. She also has a soft spot for chew toys, making her the perfect companion for quiet evenings in.

While she adores her humans, Poppy appreciates her own space when it comes to other dogs, so she'd do best as the only dog in the home. She is not a fan of bouncy dogs in her face. She's ready to pour all her love and loyalty into her special person.

If you're looking for a laid-back, loving companion to share your life with, Poppy might be your perfect match!

Poppy is getting spayed on Dec. 4 and can be adopted this weekend.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
