**Fostered in Woodinville, WA and ready for meet and greets!**
Fun, loyal, and full of kisses! Rocky is as sweet as can be. This fun, playful, and loving boy is ready for a life full of fetch, running around the yard, and then cuddling up to watch TV with his family. He would love to have a doggy sibling and even human siblings too. He is the perfect blend of energy where he can play and run, and then nap for hours.
At one year old, we are told that Rocky is half Chocolate Lab and half Pitbull mix. Of course it’s rescue, so we can’t guarantee his genetics, but this is based on who we believe his parents are. He weighs in right around 55 lbs of pure love and handsomeness! His black and white markings are stunning and sure to make you swoon.
Rocky is a smart boy who learns quickly and is food motivated. He’s already potty trained and crate trained, and he takes treats SO gently! He checks in with his people regularly, even during playtime with his doggy friends or with his toys. He does still pull on leash a little, but is learning leash skills quickly. He already knows “sit and wait” and is working on “down.”
Rocky is a bit of a shy boy, but as soon as he knows you’re safe, he’s your BFF! Treats are the best and fastest way to his heart! With regular outings and socialization we believe he will build confidence and make the perfect buddy to take everywhere. He is deeply devoted to his people and will happily follow you everywhere you go. He is the perfect sidekick for someone who wants a very loyal friend.
Doggy friends? Yes! Rocky loves other dogs and really wants to meet them all. He can be a little pushy with his play at times, but it’s all out of excitement. He will do best in a home with at least one other dog, as he has never lived without other dogs around. They can give him a boost in confidence. No kitties for this guy though.
Rocky enjoys the company of human children and has been around kids most of his life. He does best around slightly older kids, as he can still be bit mouthy and jumpy. With some further training and growing-up he will make the perfect family dog. He is still young and has that playful energy you would expect in a 1 year old, but boy does he like to snuggle with his people and just chill!
Rocky will do best in a home with a yard where he can run and play. He will need continued socialization to build his confidence in meeting new people with ease. He would love an active family that can take him on hikes, and maybe camping or road trips to the beach. But most of all he just needs a human who will be as loving and loyal to him as he will be to them. You will truly be his everything and he will always be there to lift your spirits.
You don’t want to miss out on this stunningly handsome and sweet boy. He is a real catch and so ready for his forever home. Apply today!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.
While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
