Hello! My name is Ohni , and I’m a sweet, somewhat shy pup ready to find my forever home. My fosters say I’m a genuine joy to be around—an easygoing girl who loves spending time with adults, seniors, and other dogs, especially the young, bouncy ones! Here is a video of me and my foster's puppy.
I adore stuffies—they’re my favorite! I’ll toss them into the air, chase them around, and then find a cozy spot to quietly and expertly de-fluff them. You can check me out in action in this video. I also enjoy a good game of chase, even if my toys tend to bounce off my adorable face rather than get caught. Here’s another video of me playing with my foster’s pup! When it’s time to relax, I’m housebroken, crate trained, and excellent on a leash, so I’m ready for calm walks or peaceful evenings. I love settling down with a bone or a stuffed Kong or curling up on a comfy dog bed near my foster while they read.
I’m a gentle treat-taker (though I get a little quick for extra-special snacks like ham!) and an affectionate shadow—I’ll quietly follow you around the house, even leaving my nap to be near you. I may take a little extra time to warm up to new people, particularly men, but I’m eager to make friends and build trust with my humans.
While I’m a wonderful companion, I do have a few things I'm still working on to be my best self. I can get startled by sudden movements, like clapping or quick gestures, and I’m happiest in a quieter, low-energy home. A sturdy plastic crate suits me best since I’ve managed to Houdini my way out of a wire one before! I’m also working on shedding a few pounds to be my healthiest self, but I’m already the perfect size for snuggles—smaller than your average Border Collie.
If you’re looking for a playful, loving pup who thrives on cuddles and calm, I might be the perfect match for you!
Ohni is from a local impound. f you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
