Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Lottie! I am an incredibly sweet 1-year old Dachshund and I’m learning all sorts of new things in my foster home. I LOVE to run around the backyard, my foster mom calls it the “zoomies”. I love to snuggle and my favorite thing is when you tell me I’m a good girl or that I’m pretty.
Because I didn’t really have a lot of attention or rules during my first year, there are a few things that I’m still struggling to understand. I am still very mouthy and love to chew on everything. And, while I love to go outside, I’m struggling with the whole “house training” thing. I’m really smart though so I’ll learn if you promise to be patient with me and not yell.
I also have discovered that I LOVE to play with other dogs. My only problem is reading their signals and I sometimes don’t understand that they really don’t want to play sometimes. It would be so AWESOME if you had another dog that liked to play but would gently correct me when needed. Oh, I almost forgot, I also just figured out what a squeaky toy is! OMG!!!!!! If there are any of these at your house, it would be FANTASTIC!
I am okay sleeping in a kennel but would prefer being in the bed with you. I bark a little bit but not a lot. I have seen a cat outside but I don’t really know if I like them and I haven’t been around young kids.
I hope you consider giving me a forever home even though I’m still working through the “puppy stage”. I’m lots of fun and can’t wait to have a family of my very own.
Lottie has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.
