Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Poppy: A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love! (Foster or Adopt)
Poppy has been through more than most, but her spirit is unbreakable. When she first came to us, she had suffered unimaginable injuries:
• Broken ribs, spine, and pelvis
• Crushed eye socket and skull fractures
• Broken teeth
• Starved to the point of emaciation
Despite all this, Poppy still wagged her tail, showing the world her unshakable love for life. All of her fractures were in various stages of healing, yet she never lost her joyful spirit or the ability to trust.
Today, Poppy is looking for her furever home where she can continue to thrive. Here’s what makes her so special:
•Kennel Trained: She has never had an accident in her kennel or inside the house!
•Visually Impaired: Poppy is likely completely blind, but don’t let that fool you—she gets around just fine, only bumping into things when she’s extra excited.
• Plays Rough: She loves to play with dogs of all sizes but might be a bit too rough for smaller animals or very young kids.
• Outdoor Adventurer: Poppy enjoys being outside and running around in good weather. It’s one of her favorite things!
• Toy-Friendly: She doesn’t destroy her toys or blankets and is happy with her things.
• Fence/Boundary Barker: She may bark at people passing by, so a fenced yard would be ideal.
• High Energy: This girl is always ready for action and needs a home where she can stay active and engaged.
• Not Great with Small Kids: Due to her energy and play style, a home without young children is best.
Despite her rough start, Poppy is filled with love, happiness, and a zest for life. If you think you can give this beautiful survivor the home she deserves, reach out and let Poppy’s next chapter begin with you.
