My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wilma: The Brave and Loving French Bulldog in Need of a Fresh Start

About Wilma:

Wilma is a survivor, and though her journey hasn’t been easy, she’s got a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be broken. This sweet French Bulldog was found roaming the streets of North Carolina in a state of severe emaciation—her ribs visible, her body frail, and her spirit battered by neglect. But Wilma is a fighter, and with the care and love she’s receiving now, she’s blossoming into the loving companion she was always meant to be.

She may have come from a difficult past, but Wilma’s future is looking brighter every day. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s gentle, affectionate, and eager to trust people again. She’s learning to enjoy the comforts of a warm bed, delicious meals, and the joy of human companionship. Wilma may be on the mend physically, but it’s her sweet, tender soul that truly shines through.

Wilma is a little shy at first, but once she feels safe in your presence, she’ll melt into your arms. She has the kind of calm, loving energy that will make you want to spoil her with affection, and she absolutely thrives when she feels loved and cared for.

What Wilma Needs:

Patience & Understanding: Wilma’s had a tough past, so she may take a little time to adjust to her new home and family. But with gentle care and reassurance, she will bloom into an affectionate, loyal companion.
Comfort & Stability: Wilma is still gaining weight and strength, so she needs a calm and stable environment where she can continue her recovery.

A Loving Home: Wilma will thrive in a family who is patient and understanding of her needs. Whether it’s a quiet couple, a single person, or a family with older children, she just wants to be loved.

Wilma’s Ideal Home:
Wilma is looking for a home where she can feel safe and cherished. She enjoys spending time indoors, relaxing on a cozy blanket or snuggled up with her humans and dog friends. A quiet environment where she doesn’t feel rushed will be perfect for her—she just needs time to adjust and rebuild her confidence. She loves companionship and would be happiest in a home where she gets lots of attention and affection.

Wilma’s resilience is inspiring, and she’s ready to start a new chapter in her life. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who has overcome so much and is ready to give all of her love in return, Wilma could be the perfect match for you. Will you be the one to give her the forever home she truly deserves?

Wilma has been spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is UTD on vaccines. She will come with 6 months of heartworm prevention, and 30 days of pet insurance.
