My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm the one and only Ivy Mae. I bet my looks caught your attention already and I would strongly advise you to hit that adoption button right about now but my foster mom says I need to tell you a little bit about myself first....so here goes nothin!

I'm a young gal, and although I'm almost full grown, I'm a little on the petite side for my breed. That doesn't stop me from showing everyone the best zoomies though!
I like to play with my foster siblings and then head inside for some nice relaxation. My mom says I'm a princess because I only like to lay on comfy cushions- how dare I sleep on the floor!
Anyways... I gently fluff up my nice bed and take the best beauty nap you've ever seen.
Besides from my beauty naps, I love playing with other furry friends or with you! But I can also keep myself busy with a bone or durable kong with some yummy peanut butter inside! I love my little cute plush toys but the best part about those is that I can decorate the house and make it look like it snowed! It's one of my many talents - like going to my kennel, sitting for my food, doing great on car rides, and...oops, I got carried away there.
I love me some walkies too! I stay close to mom because I'm a little timid when I visit new places but once I'm used to my surroundings, I spread my wings! My mom encourages me and says I'm really brave so I put on my big girl paws and conquer the world one step at a time!

Oh and one last thing...you see my cute squishy face? I do this quirky thing where I squish my face against you when you pet me. It makes my mom giggle because I just have the best face. I like to be a little dramatic so I pretend to melt into you...I can get a little carried away and accidentally fall asleep on you...oops.
I can't wait to find my forever home. Will you be my family?

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
