My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is her name and she is a sweet girl that needs a home. She came with her 4 puppies, and they are all adopted to good families. Now it is her turn.
Nina would work great on a farm or acreage, but probably not good with small dogs or cats and no chickens. She seems to have a protective attitude to her kennel, so she may be one who will watch after your home or farm when you are away.
Nina is medium in size and has a fluffy coat. We placed her as a German Shepherd mix, and she seems to fit that breed. She loves people and does well on a leash. She has been doing great in her area with her friend Josie, so we know she can do well with other females. Sometimes it is up to the dog to choose the other dogs they like to be with.
So, spayed, vaccinated and up to date, this girl needs a family.

Go meet their pets

12 Hills Dog Rescue asks that you call for appointments to meet our pets. Since the rescue is on our family farm, where we live, we want to have the freedom to choose when those times and dates of adoption are.

We live 30 miles from Sioux City, IA (4 miles from Winnebago) turn left and go east on H Ave. for 2 1/2 miles.
Or 2 miles north of the Walthill community (turn east on H Ave and go 21/2 miles or 12 hills to our farm.

More about this rescue

12 Hills Dog Rescue is a no-kill rescue taking in dogs that have been abused or abandoned. We began as a semi-retired couple, and added one part-time person to assist. In 2015 we applied and received our 501c3 non-profit status. We need volunteers to walk, brush and help socialize the dogs that we care for.
