Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
(100% of adoption fee will be donated to Charlotte Humane Society). Mitchell was abandoned in our neighborhood in August 2024. He was wandering around during a terrible rain storm, so our neighbor took him in for the night. He was not able to keep him because his dog does not get along with other dogs, so we decided to at least take him to our vet to get him checked out and see if he had a microchip (he did not).
He was awfully sweet and seemed to really love people, so we committed to fostering him and getting him healthy. Thus began a three month journey. We realized early-on that we could not keep him because we have four cats, and he has a strong instinct to chase small animals. We have been managing his stay with us by keeping him and the cats separate, keeping a schedule of daily activities, and occasionally visiting the dog park. He is very energetic and loves to play. He is now a healthy and happy boy, full of life!
He is crate trained and would love a big yard!
