My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jim! He is a 2 year old boy who weighs only 35 pounds. Jim was a stray from Warren Animal Control before he was transferred to HSOM. Jim is a little boy who is always jumping around with joy and excited to meet new people. He loves everyone that he meets! He has been making lots of friends here..people + dogs. He is dog friendly and plays very well with dogs of all sizes. We even think Jim may be able to live with a cat (since he does not seem to mind them) with a slow introduction of course! He is a very gentle boy, which would be great for kids. We are un sure if he has met any before, but based off of his playful nature and gentleness...he could be a great fit for a family with young children. He is little, but can be strong at times! A fenced in yard is not required for adoption, but would love being on squirrel patrol duty in one.Thank you for showing an interest in our pets. We can never guarantee the breeds of the animals. Submit Application

Select an animal to meet with and fill out the Adoption Form online.

2.
Meet the Pet

Schedule an appointment to come to the shelter and meet the pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If everything goes well during the meet-n-greet process you will be able to take home your new pet the same day or arrange a 24hr hold.

Adoptions can be finalized same day. Please call our shelter to learn about our adoption policies and/or schedule an adoption appointment.

Go meet their pets

We are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm for adoptions. Thursdays we offer later appointments and are open 10am-12pm and 1pm-6pm for adoptions ONLY. All Thursday evening appointments must be scheduled before 4pm. Adoptions range from 60 to 90 minutes to complete. The shelter is closed on Sundays, Mondays and major holidays.
