If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
This is Diesel! I unexpectedly rescued him from someone I know. He was living in a small kennel for about 2 years before I took him. He is a sweet boy, house trained and listens well. He gets along with my border collie, and tolerates my puppy, although he definitely does not like all of her energy and has put her in her place on occasion. He is great with my 8 and 12 year old, and has been around smaller children with no issues, although I’ve never witnessed that myself. The reason I am rehoming him is because he does not like cats (I have 4) and he has killed 2 of my chickens. I have indoor cats so he can only come inside with I have them in a room for their safety. He deserves the best life because other than his high prey instinct, he is a great dog. He needs a home with no cats or small animals. He would be great as a the only dog or with other calm big dogs. He’s very calm, and when he comes inside, he just lays around and wants love.
