I could tell you some stories about how I came into rescue but I prefer to focus my sights on the future because I now have new chapters to write!
As you can see from the way that I stand, it is pretty likely that the majority of my past life was spent in a crate. Now that I can run free, I make sure that you can tell that I have places to go! My foster momma says that I am smart and that I learn quickly- well, unless it comes to doors. I am so excited to get places that I run straight into them - nothing can stop a girl on the move!
I wasn't sure about this whole "rescue" thing when I first got here. So many people trying to pet me and love me and I wasn't too sure about all of that. Now, I light up when they walk into the room. I am doing this strange "happy wiggle" and I think that I am even learning to smile. All of this being said, I love a good quiet snuggle. My bed and my blanket are my comfort place so I hope you are good with that!
When it comes to what I would like to have in my forever home, I am pretty basic. I need a family who will snuggle, help me find my confidence, and one that is patient with me. This is ALL new to me so I just need some space and time to come around to new situations. Don't worry, I don't get cranky! I just get a little timid and need to work up to changes.
Back to the "patient" part! Since I spent most of my life in a crate, this "potty training" thing they want me to do... well, it is completely NEW for me. Seems like I may have missed out on a lot growing up. Things like running in yards, playing with toys, and using the bathroom on grass just weren't in the cards for me until now. I am learning and trying very hard so please be ready to be patient with me. I am smart so get my on a schedule and I will learn in no time!
All in all, I am a basic girl with simple needs. Love, security, a soft bed and - most of all - YOU.
