My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Neptune is a "torbie", a fairly rare coat color. The term “torbie” is short for tortoiseshell-tabby. It means the kitten has tabby stripes but also tortoiseshell markings. She is a very pretty young thing, and her personality is lovely, also. She likes to sit on your lap, and will jump up by herself to get the petting and cuddling she wants. Neptune likes to play, especially with her "tortie" sister, Mercury. They chase through tunnels and wrestle like happy kittens should. She may be just the kitten you're looking for!

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
