Alessia is a lovely cat, now three years old. She was adopted from Heartland as a kitten, but unfortuneately, had to be returned when her family moved. She is a calm and pleasant girl, who doesn't mind being picked up and petted, and will purr happily when she gets your loving attention. She still has some interest in playing with toys. Alessia may need a little time to readjust, but will come to love her new humans and be a sweet addition to your household.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
