My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sherlock is a 4-year-old Miniature Pinscher mix with a heart full of love and a curious spirit, just like his famous namesake. Recently transferred from King`s County, Sherlock is still building his confidence in new surroundings but shows his affectionate side to everyone he meets.

This sweet boy loves snuggles and is eager to bond with his people. While he`s still learning how to best interact with other dogs, Sherlock is making great progress and would thrive with a patient and understanding family to guide him.

With a little love and encouragement, Sherlock is ready to be your most loyal companion. Come meet this charming little detective and let him solve the case of finding his forever home!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
