My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hazel! The Sweetest Jack Russell Mix Looking for Her Forever Family

Hazel is a 9-month-old Jack Russell mix, born on February 12, 2024. She is full of energy, love, and charm! Hazel adores cats, other dogs, and especially children. Her favorite activities include cuddling, car rides, and spreading joy wherever she goes.

A few things to know about Hazel:
•Hazel cannot be the only dog in the home. She thrives with canine companionship to keep her happy and balanced.
•She is not yet housebroken but uses pee pads with only a few accidents.
•Hazel isn’t a fan of being crated and will need patience and understanding as she continues to grow.

Hazel is currently with a loving foster in New Jersey and is ready to find her perfect forever home. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, and playful pup who will fill your home with love and laughter, Hazel is your girl!

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
