My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet our boy, Riley Martin. Some dogs just need a first and last name – he’s one of them. Riley is 48 lbs (but should be 45 ish) and is 3.5-4 years old. He’s a nice, medium sized guy with a shaggy, terrier-like coat. Riley came to MHCR from a high-intake, high-kill shelter in Texas where he was surrendered due to his owner passing away. Despite the huge life changes, Riley is adapting well to home living. He’s friendly and social with his humans and when he wants more pets he’s not afraid to ask for it by extending his paw to you. Riley isn’t much of a crate guy and would greatly prefer to snooze next to you in bed or on a dog bed near you. When he’s not snoozin’ he’s down for some fetch with his tennis balls. Riley is best suited in a home as the only dog. He’s not outwardly aggressive to other dogs while out on leash, but he doesn’t like sharing things in his home. He’s looking for a human that’s looking for a buddy!

Riley Martin is in foster in Loveland, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *
