Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sofia is a gem of a girl – she is approximately 3 and a half years old, 17 lb mix of sugar and spice and everything nice. She is lower energy, and a bit reserved. She doesn’t run up to strangers, she’ll stand back to assess, and then is very friendly. Sofia is good with dogs and cats. She’s a quiet influence at the shelter and not a barker. Sofia was dumped near the SPCA PV sanctuary with her bestie Lucia, and wouldn’t they make an amazing duo? We’d love to adopt them together, but we can’t hold them back from finding a home that loves them if that’s not possible.
While at the shelter we can’t confirm if she’s house trained, but it seems she once had a home, so we think its likely that she is. Sofia is healthy, spayed and vaccinated.
Sofia is currently at the SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island). If you think you might be the lucky home for her, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. Our sister shelter, the SPCA PV rescues, rehabilitates and promote sterilization in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. The organizations are wholly run through donations and volunteer efforts. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
