My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy the Chug! is the size of chihuahua and the personality of a pug! She loves loves loves to run and play and loves everydog in her foster home an gravitates towards the smaller younger ones to meet her level of play! She can run like the wind and loves her soft toys! She rides great in a crate in the car and is able to be peaceful in a crate:)

At 2 years old and 11 pounds Miss Lucy is a great travel size....just make sure there is room to run as she loves to run!

Lucy has been a very loved little girl all of her life and only came into rescue when her owner was absolutely nt in a position to be able to keep her. Lucy was a lucky one as her owner worked with us until we were able to intake this little sweetie:)

She is brand new to us so we are busy learning about her but know that she loves dogs, loves to be held...is full of wiggles and kisses! and did I mention runs like the wind!

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.

Adoptions can be arranged by appointment or our dogs can be met on the first Saturday of the month at Petsmart, Desert Ridge Noon to 3:00 PM.
