My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Fritzie! I was rescued outside in Lakeside with my mom and 7 siblings by a nice couple who fostered us while Smittens got us ready for adoption! I am very adventurous and spent a lot of time exploring the cat treehouse and the hidden crawl space under my foster’s bed. I love snuggling with cats as well as my foster! I am quick to purr and I love belly rubs. I will follow you all over and sit with you when you are at the computer. I would love to be adopted with another kitten that I can explore with in my forever home!

Please note young kittens are adopted out in pairs or to a home with another playful cat or kitten.

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
