My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Love-able Charlie is looking for a special someone that can shower him with all the affection he deserves. This big boy is fairly laid back, and although he knows how to have a good time and zoom around, he also loves to chill and snuggle with his favourite people. He's been doing really well in foster, has been very appropriate with his doggie housemate, and has even made some new dog friends at the park! He's been great around kids while in foster and could definitely live with them with the right guidance from the adults in the home.
He is good in his crate when left alone but will need a bit of ongoing training to really master this skill as it's still fairly new to him.

Charlie will thrive in an active household where he can get both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He already loves puzzle feeders, Kongs, brain games and learning new things if there's some yummy treats involved. He loves long walks and is a pleasure on leash, which makes your daily adventures so much more enjoyable. Charlie does think bunnies and other small animals are really interesting and will need gentle reminders not to chase them if they catch his eye while out on a walk or at the park.
If you're ready for a nice balance of snuggles and fun adventures, Charlie might be the right dog for you.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.
