My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly is a cute 6 mo old black and white puppy who currently weighs about 25 lbs. Molly arrived at Canine Collective with two sibs and Mom Sissy. Mom is a hound mix and dad is unknown but is likely a black and white color. Molly's sibs found homes but she isn't lonely. Mom Sissy is happy to keep her daughter company and they love playing together. Molly just loves to chew on her mom's long ears and they wrestle just like they are siblings and not mom and daughter! We took mom and daughter to our inside loft area and pup Molly bravely climbed the stairs with mom's encouragement. Check out the video which opens with Molly proudly strutting down the steps too! Molly loves to cuddle with humans and of course sniff around. When left outside to the enclosed area she immediately potties so that's a good sign. When she wants to go back inside she will patiently wait by the door. She loves watching the other adult dog next door and is friendly with other dogs. Molly attended an event at an elementary school and was a hit with all the kids of course. Our girl would make a great family dog!

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
