My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Prue was brought in with her sibling Piper #922068 by a community member on November 7, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Prue, a tiny tortie with a big personality hidden under all that shyness. Prue must be adopted with her sibling Piper #932068. They are a bonded pair, where one goes the other follows. This pint-sized firecracker isn't one for grand entrances but give her time (and maybe a wand toy dance or a bribe of treats), and she'll slowly let you into her exclusive inner circle. While she's not a fan of surprise hugs or paparazzi-like attention, she promises to bring plenty of joy to a patient and loving home. Young kiddos? Not her vibe. A serene sanctuary with understanding humans? Absolutely. Don't forget a secure cat carrier for a safe journey home!

Shy/Fearful Cat:  Prue requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

Message for details:
Prue and Piper are available for adoption in a foster home. To adopt them, please email us at adoptoceanside@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
