My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Esmerelda is a sweet girl, who had a tough start in life, and just wants to be loved. This beautiful girl loves to be pet and hugged, and can't wait to be your one and only.
Esmerelda came to Cameron Animal Hospital sick, emaciated, and pregnant. Her kittens did not survive, but Esmerelda fought to get better, and is now 100% healthy. She loves people, and wants to be loved desperately. She does not however, like other animals - she wants to be the center of attention, and she will not hesitate to let you know. Esmerelda has not been tested with children, but she is always gentle and sweet with people. She loves to cuddle, but she also likes to play with toys- chase stuffed mice or springs, and she loves to explore new places, and birdwatch out the window.
Esmerelda was malnourished when she arrived, but she has gained weight, and is now lean and healthy, and strong enough to be active. She is FeLV/FIV negative. Her adoption includes her spay; her full series of FVRCP (distemper) and Rabies vaccines; fecal testing and complete deworming; Feline Bartonella testing and treatment; microchip; 30 days of free pet insurance.
Esmerelda will thrive in a home who wants an interactive, loving cat, and a family who will return her love and affection.

More about this rescue

Cameron Animal Hospital has been located on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey, since 1936. The family-owned hospital is the first purposfully built animal hospital in the state of NJ, and provides veterinary services to cats, dogs, and other small animals, including rabbits, rats, ferrets, and more.

Cameron Animal Hospital is not a shelter, but works extensively with the rescue community in Essex County by providing veterinary care to local shelters, and finding homes to a variety of animals (cats, dogs, and small animals) who have come into our care.
