My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fostered in Illinois
Fenced yard required

Thor is a very sweet tri-colored ten month old boy. Loving and attentive, he follows his foster mom and dad through the house and loves to relax near them.

A typical young, playful boy, Thor loves to interact and goof around with other dogs. He’s learning how to play with toys but hasn't quite gotten the hang of playing catch! He loves to run around and play a chase game with the resident collie so a fenced yard would be desirable to keep him safe. He has been learning to walk in a leash, and is doing a great job, for such a young boy.

Thor was unfamiliar with stairs, and is working hard on conquering them. He's still a bit hesitant and awkward going down, but he's determined to master this! He's also working on basic commands and really enjoys training time. We don't know how he'd be with cats and children over the age of eight would probably be best.

Thor would love a family with another playful canine and at least one person who is home a lot and willing to give him a lot of attention, affection, and continue teaching him. Are you up for adventures with Thor?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each rescued Collie has a modest adoption fee which covers most of the dog's expenses.

Prospective families that wish to adopt a Collie will be interviewed. Basic information about the family, pet ownership history and why they want a Collie is requested. Our goal is to achieve a successful match between the Collie and the adopting family.
