Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Everyone loves a puppy but SENIOR dogs love everyone!
Meet Duke – Your Loyal and Loving Companion!
Duke is an 8-year-old Pointer with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines as brightly as his wagging tail. This friendly, energetic gentleman has a zest for life and a soft spot for anyone who shows him kindness. He’s been thriving in foster care, but he’s ready to find his forever family to share his golden years.
Duke is a true house-trained pro, and his impeccable manners make him an easy addition to any home. Whether he’s joining you for an invigorating walk, playing a game of fetch, or lounging by your side, Duke’s joyful presence is sure to bring a smile to your face every day.
Despite his age, Duke still has plenty of pep in his step and would love a home where he can stretch his legs, explore the outdoors, and soak up all the love and attention he deserves. His foster family can’t say enough good things about his sweet nature and how much joy he’s brought into their lives.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with a wagging tail and a heart full of love, Duke might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet him and see why this charming boy is impossible to resist.
Duke is ready to spend the rest of his days making memories with a family to call his own. Could that be you?
If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.
Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area.
The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.
