Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Baby is a two-year-old, 28-pound, gorgeous, playful, and affectionate, male doodle/terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Baby was being relinquished to Chicago Animal Care and Control because his elderly human couldn’t walk him while reliant on a walker … the shelter was closed, so a kind volunteer intervened and brought him to Friends of Petraits Rescue.
Baby is a great with all dogs, and dog-friendly cats, with a proper introduction; he just loves to play and is submissive. He is quietly crate-trained and housebroken.
He does have a strangely loud bark which sounds more like a hound or a rooster! He is nervous at first and barks at new people and dogs, but then warms up in minutes and loves everyone.
He loves his walks, and while good in the car, he sometimes gets car sick.
Baby knows the command sit, and loves working for his treats. He is looking for a patient human with a sense of humor, willing to work with him through his nervousness. He is sooo sweet and worth the effort.
He is extremely healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines, microchipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative.
His adoption fee of $300 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes complete with everything you need to care for him: crate, food, heartworm pills, bowls, toys, leash, collar, etc.
