My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Apricot is such a very special kitty we have the honor of helping to find his forever home. He came from a rural shelter where he lingered for years without any interest.

He is a 5 to 7 year old, orange fluffy, male cat with Down’s Syndrome. Yes, cats can have a chromosomal defect like humans. He acts like every other cat out there. Eats and uses litter box without any issues. His face is deformed due to the chromosome but it makes him even cuter.

Apricot is ultra affectionate and needy. Follows his foster mom all over. Very demanding. Just wants to be held or sitting in a lap. He craves human attention. He would be an excellent emotional support cat.

He loves to be groomed and doted on as well as being carried like a baby. Plays just as hard as a kitten would.

We would like to see Apricot in a very understanding home. He is good with non aggressive cats. Would do well with dog and well behaved children.

Please consider giving Apricot a forever home.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster home based rescue. During the current pandemic we are not always able to have in-home visits with kittens and cats, so are offering a trial period in their new home before adoptions are finalized. In limited circumstances and until the pandemic conditions are safe, limited foster homes have approved adopters meet cats in their foster homes. We are often able to provide videos or other means of meeting cats and kittens.
