Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Rocco came in as a stray and found himself at the shelter, which he is finding stressful. He wants to get out of his kennel ASAP and jumps and gets super excited. Once leashed, he is easy to walk and goes by the other dogs without any trouble - he just wants to go outside, potty and go for a walk. Volunteers have noted he seems to be keeping his kennel clean so is likely potty trained.
Rocco is anxious for attention and cuddles - he loves belly rubs, gives kisses, knows sit, and takes treats gently. He just might roll over and show you his belly so you will not leave his kennel - time for more belly rubs and kisses.
During playgroups, Rocco was a happy little guy who enjoyed the fine art of... well...humping. He did engage in play with the female dog, but he was definitely on a mission. A home with a tolerant dog would likely be best for Rocco while he learns that this behavior is not appropriate.
Come get this guy and give him the love he deserves!
If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Rocco 251181".
He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
