What my friends at ACC say about me:
Aspen was in the den with large eyes, appearing nervous and was pulled away from the den door. She sniffed treats and allowed petting with the scratching tool, and then allowed petting with the assessor's hand while remaining tense. At one point, she attempted to flee by exiting the den, and then immediately turning around and going back inside. She will likely try and hide in her new home and should be given a small room in order to begin the process of acclimating.
Aspen tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that she go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
