My name is Rooney!

Rooney has been in our family for the past 7 years. We got him as a puppy and, now with two kids, his occasional reactivity around children has us concerned and looking for a child-free, dog-free home for him.

He is a sweet boy that makes us laugh with his expressive howls and whole-body wags. He loves going on long walks, getting belly rubs, laying in the sun, and snuggling with pillows. Rooney is extremely treat motivated and does well with commands. He knows sit, lay down, shake, off, touch (with his nose), leave it, and "heel" on walks.

He is sweet with everyone he meets and does well with any Rover walker/sitter. He is reactive and aggressive towards some dogs and cats; others he doesn't seem to care about and will happily say hello to which is why we think he would do best as an only pet.
