My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mittens is a 2 month old, 9 lb Lab/Pointer mix. Mittens and her littermates were found as strays in a field, so the breed mix is just our best guess. She has the cutest floppy ears, one speckled and the other two-tone. Her little pink and black nose completes the package! Mittens and her sisters and brother are all super sweet and love to snuggle. They also love to play with all kinds of toys. Since Mittens is such a young pup, she will need lots of toys and bones to chew on. She loves playing with the much larger resident dog, and she ignores the cat. She has just started potty training, so that is still a work in progress. She does sleep through the night in her crate without an accident.
The first step to meeting Mittens is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Submit Application

You may complete an application via our website at http://www.humanetomorrow.org/adopt/.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

More about this rescue

Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
