My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Burt is 14 months old. He is a miniature Australian Shepherd. He is a little shy at first, and transitions can give him a lot of anxiety, but once he warms up, he is great with people and other dogs. We are working through some resource guarding but because of his story he's afraid of losing his person or the good things he has now. He is house trained and does okay on a leash. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is looking for a home with another established dog and a fenced yard in order to help him get settled in after his transition a little easier.

We are a foster-based dog rescue in southern Wisconsin, working with a partner shelter in Oklahoma, where dogs don't have as great of a chance at a cozy family life as they do in Wisconsin.
