My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Munster, 115 pounds of pure love! This handsome ~3-year-old Mastiff/Cane Corso mix came to us from a high-kill shelter in California and is now searching for his perfect forever home.

Munster is the definition of a loyal companion and a true “velcro dog.” He adores being by your side, following you around to show how much he loves you. A certified cuddle enthusiast, Munster thrives on affection and has been nothing but friendly with everyone he’s met.

This big-hearted boy enjoys leisurely walks and is great on a leash. He also loves lounging at home and never says no to treats! Food-motivated and eager to learn, Munster already knows “sit” and “shake” and is ready to master more tricks with the right guidance.

While Munster has done well with other dogs in our care, he occasionally prefers to soak up all the attention, making him equally suited to being the only dog in a household. We’re looking for an experienced Mastiff or Cane Corso owner who understands the needs of these powerful breeds and can provide the structure and handling he requires. He is VERY strong!

Munster would thrive in a home with a yard to play in and loves playing with toys. He’s car-friendly, has had no accidents indoors, and is steadily improving with crate training (though he’d much rather be close to his people). Munster’s ideal family might work from home or bring him along to work!

Munster is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500. Ready to welcome this gentle giant into your life? Munster is ready to meet you!

More about this rescue

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes or a kennel in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs are/or will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.

Interested? Send us an email at fhdrwa@gmail.com and we'll send you a foster application. It's lots of fun and you will meet lots of dogs and other people who love dogs.
