Foxie Roxie
1 year old
55lbs
Spayed Female
Lab Mix
Kids 13+
Foxie Roxie is a super affectionate little angel with the cutest under bite! She is content snuggling on the couch, playing by herself or chewing bones - she's an independent woman But she also loves the company of her foster family - playing fetch or wrestling with her forster brother. As the last of her litter, she waited for months for her freedom ride to New York, and has grown into a well-mannered little lady during her time in foster care. She has successfully gone through a 3 week board & train program to become the bestest girl, but needs her e-collar to keep her skills in tip-top shape!
Foxie Roxie prefers slow introductions, because humans can be unpredictable and she needs time to feel safe and develop trust. Being approached by strangers can be scary! Small children may not understand that, so we think kids 13+ would be best for this girl.
Foxie Roxie is:
Dog and cat friendly
Potty trained and knows to go to the door when she needs to do her business
Crate trained (even knows "crate" command)
Very food-oriented and easy to train. She knows come and sit, down, and place commands
A+ walking skills
Does amazing on car rides, even long ones!
Foxie Roxie has a foster sibling (2y/o male pup) who she loves to play with! She has also participated in daycare classes where she has romped around in big groups and had oh so much fun! But Roxie is a little selfish with her things (like toys, bones and food) and prefers to keep them to herself, so she may need a reminder that sharing is caring!
If you are interested in Foxie Roxie, please apply at the adoption link in the comments below or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved.
