Meet Venom! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix (the other breed is unknown) and weighs 60 lbs. He is up to date on shots and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered. Venom is nervous around strangers and will sometimes growl at first! He is good with kids! He hasn’t been tested around cats. He doesn’t live with other dogs, but is good with dogs outside of the home! He is housebroken and crate-trained.

Venom bit the owner’s son twice. The first incident occurred after her son hit him on the head with a toy for second time after Venom growled at him for doing it the first time. The second incident occurred after her son placed a toy on his head. The owner has told her son not to do that, but he keeps rough housing with Venom. She is surrendering him because of the bite incidents. He needs to go ASAP!

If you think you can provide a great home for Venom, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Venom.

We pride ourselves on a thorough screening process. A complete application, background check,vet reference check, personal reference check, photos of property inside and out if there is not a local representative and we also use Google Earth to verify that the property in the photos matches.

Under one year $400.00 ( plus refundable $100 after spay/neuter
One to Seven years $250.00
Over Seven years $150.00

This includes spay/neuter, UTD on all immunizations and Health Clearance from Vet

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.

In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 27,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.

Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.

We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
