My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Cookie is crate-trained and house-trained—even uses a bell when she wants to go outside. She will sometimes jump on people so we’d be hesitant to send her to a home with small children. She is shy and will hide from strangers but will eventually warm up. She’s been with her brother, Nugget, all her life. We are encouraging separate adoptions so they can develop their own personality and get undivided attention.

From the owner:

The Wonder Twins are 11 month old doberman/poodle mix brother and sister duo weighing about 40lbs, who have never been separated and LOVE to jump tall fences

Cookie (like oreo cookies) is a black and grey female who is very sweet, calm but shy. She loves to find a quiet spot to lay down.

Nugget (like chicken nuggets) is a brown and tan male who is very sweet, smart and all he wants to be is a lap dog with cuddles and being center of attention.

They are kennel trained, house trained, and know basic command.

They received their first puppy shots and tails docked before they were adopted but due to health issues of the owners they haven't been since. They are healthy as far as we know. They received rabies vax on 11/30/2024.

They are shy when around adults at first but have grown up around kids (3 year old+) and are great with them, including being little vacuums for crumbs...

They have been introduced to other dogs both in private setting as well as public with no aggression. They've been around chickens and goats as well with no issues!

Due to increased health issues of the owner, we are trying to find a new home as soon as possible. They are located near Orange, VA

They come with everything (2 XL kennels, food/water dishes, leashes, harness/collars)

CVRR is listing this dog as a COURTESY to the actual owner. This dog is not currently in the care of CVRR, and CVRR makes no representations or guarantees for the animal's behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed has been given by the dog's current owner and should be verified by any interested potential adopter.

Cookie’s adoption fee is $275 and will cover the distemper vaccine and spay. She is current on rabies vaccine.
