My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, they say I am an American Bully mix, but really I am a 40 lb mushy loveable baby looking for a forever family. My name is Kingston, I am about 3 years old and a very mellow gentleman who loves walks and car rides, doggy toys, playtime, and my favorite game of tug-o-war. I get along great with all people and other dogs, preferring smaller dog playmates. I am very sensitive and wear my heart on my sleeve, gaze at you with loving eyes, telling you I’m grateful to be safe with every gentle kiss and wag of my tail. I am uber affectionate and love snuggling beside my human while we relax or watch TV. I am also well-behaved and housebroken, rarely bark and I know how to use a doggy door. My foster mom says I listen well, walk well on a leash, and I respond to my name.

My foster mom found me in Von Ormy Texas when I was 3 months old and while we were driving to Laredo we were involved in a car accident and I was lost. She searched for me for months. My picture was posted everywhere and all the locals were keeping watch for me. Then miraculously almost 2 years later, I appeared one day and the people recognized me. I was very underweight and covered in fleas but I was alive and couldn't believe my luck when my foster mom came to retrieve me. These days I’m doing great, healthy and happy, and finally ready to find a wonderful future with wonderful people who will love me like crazy! I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
