Meet Pimento! Pimento is the sweetest, calmest girl. My 16 year old twins said if all fosters were as calm as her we could have 20 of them. She is well behaved both inside and outside of her kennel. We feed dogs in foster care in their kennels and she will hang out on a recliner while I get her food ready and then trot into her kennel when her bowl is placed there. She cannot get close enough to her humans and is a very respectful girl. At night she sleeps on a pillow next to her six year old foster human. She loves to be near our other dogs that are calm and respectful. She enjoys to be as close to you as possible, with her head on your lap when you are watching tv.
Pimento is curious about the cat, but with a gentle "leave it," she listens well, making her a great fit for a home with mellow, non-reactive cats. She spent her day snuggling with one of us or cozied up to Bailee and Nyah. When it was bedtime, she curled right up on a pillow in her bed, proving she knows how to settle in.
During our Thanksgiving meal, she was a perfect guest, not begging or trying to sneak food off the table or counters. Pimento enjoys watching the yard through the window and has a serious love for fleece blankets.
She isn’t a fan of snow or cold weather, but she’s made the best of it by cozying up in a heated car seat and wearing a jacket for warmth. She goes outside to pee and poop and right back in. No messing around, especially when it is cold.
Her ears have the finest points at the top, like the bat off Fern Gully. SO CUTE!!
Pimento is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
