Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update: Leo is a little ham! He was surrendered with his buddy (and also Dad) Stitch. He’s a 10 year old scruffy mix with the cutest little crooked teeth. He had a dental done in the South and is missing some teeth but he still loves food! He does seem to do better with his kibble softened. He is house broken, crate trained, and knows “sit”. He loves treats and is a little shadow to me. He is still a little apprehensive of my husband and is a little shy but once he decides he loves you he’s the sweetest, snuggliest boy. He does great with our other 2 dogs he is fostered, has not been cat tested. He’s got the happiest little trot and tail wags he’ll do and he loves being told he’s a good boy and will cock his head in the cutest way.
Leo is a 10yr old whose owner surrendered to an overcrowded southern shelter. Leo has been brought up to date on shots, neutered, had a dental and bloodwork done. He is now heading to Maine to find his retirement home. Leo will be here 12/7. He will be fostered in Scarborough.
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
