We are pleased to introduce Luna Texas (or Miss Texas to her close friends.) This pint sized pudding pop is ready to zip right into your heart and your lap too. Her background has quite a few curvy roads, but one thing for sure ... this gal has a resilient spirit. She was a bit down in the dumps for a few days after her owner dropped her off, but since then it's been nothing but sunshine and fun shine!
Luna is all the dogs wrapped into one fun sized package. ✅Shy in new situations. ✅Opens up quickly. ✅Neat in her kennel. ✅Compact lap sized just right for cuddles and snuggles. Very affectionate once she knows you. ✅41 pounds. beautiful markings including her lucky white chocolate hershey kiss nose. ✅Radar ears that have their own personality of fun and frivolity. ✅Running buddy ✅Hiking companion ✅Ready to watch football, hockey, baseball or Hallmark shows with you too!
Miss Texas is your one stop shopping for fun, friendship and maintaining an active lifestyle. 🟢🐶Energetic energy. Meet and greets will determine sibling compatibility. Uneasy around big dogs. 🟢🙋♀️Friendly with people she knows. Does best around kids over 1 year old. ⚠️🟡😼carful with cats. Will chase, and enthusiastically hound them. Probably not a great candidate for a cat sibling. ⚠️🐾Be ready for her quick dash off the line walk style. Future drag racer potential. She is excited to see all the sights and smells and wants to get there in a hurry, then slams on the brakes when she gets to the end of the leash. She calms down once she gets a few dashes out.
This pretty girl is super excited to start a new life and give all the love she has. She may need a few days to come out of her shell in her new home. Giving her a structured routine and boundaries will help ease the transition. She will need regular exercise to be her best self. Stop by and scoop her up before she dashes outta here. Adventures of fun await her. You don't want to miss a minute of this delightful Luna Texas! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 46 Age: 0yrs 8mths 2wks

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
