Tess is part Poodle, part Cuddlebug, and part Sweetheart, all wrapped around the most gentle soul you will ever meet. It's likely her previous humans gave her up because she needed surgery for avascular necrosis of the right hip. That procedure has now been done and Tess is back to her favorite activities; playing fetch with small balls and stuffed buddies, going for walks, and even running. Her future is bright in that respect. Now she needs to find her forever home and we are helping her out with that, as well. Tess makes it easy. She's young (one year), in excellent health, good on leash, likes every human of any age who touches her (including gentle children), and is curious about every dog she meets. She is untested around cats, but given her generous nature we suspect she would befriend a willing cat or two. She enjoys playing with slippers, but never does damage to them, nor to anything else in the house. At 5.5 lbs. she's easy to pick up and hold to your chest while she accepts your kisses. Her coat is as soft as cotton balls. Tess is an excellent candidate for nursing home visiting; she is always ready to sit on someone’s lap and look adoringly into that person’s eyes. Tess is up to date on vaccinations, has a microchip, and is spayed. You’ll be fortunate to have her as a companion.
